Bill Gates once said, “Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.”
Well, it’s been ten years since we founded Alliance under our original name “Alliance Executive Search”. When we opened our doors, our ten-year plan was more along the lines of establishing ourselves as a major player in the DC executive search market and providing maximum value to our clients and candidates. Ten years later, we are pleased to announce we are rebranding as 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽. This rebrand reflects our evolution as an organization, and today The Alliance Group is over 100 people strong in 5 service lines.
As we look back, we clearly underestimated what we could do in ten years.
How did we get here?
Shortly after our founding, Executive Search quickly expanded into Interim Staffing to assist clients with time-sensitive project requirements.
Several years later our Client Advisory practice was formed. Client Advisory was a seamless next step as it aligns closely with our client base, which is primarily SEC filers, high-growth PE-backed companies, and large name-brand, non-profits. This practice consists of former Big 4 professionals and provides best-in-class technical accounting, financial reporting, and critical project support.
Our customers were happy, so we were happy…sort of. Helping our clients excel is in our DNA and we knew we could do more. So, we continued listening and eventually opened two very synergistic practices – Financial Systems Consulting and IT Staffing. Most CFOs at some point lead major ERP system upgrades or a finance transformation effort. These efforts often involve the organization’s IT departments, so providing support for financial systems and traditional IT staffing were logical next steps.
These practices are now thriving, and we began receiving national recognition, with Alliance ranking five consecutive years on the Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies. We had a 3-year growth rate of 175%. In short, we were doing so much more than our original name, Alliance Executive Search, represents and it was clear a rebrand was in order.
A rebrand also calls for a clear message, and so we are introducing our new Mission Statement, which is: “To deliver best-in-class human capital and critical project solutions to today’s CFO and CIO.” This is exactly what we’ve been doing for years, and this mission statement crystallizes all that hard work in one sentence. One might ask, don’t we also serve Controllers and other hiring managers? Yes, that is most definitely true, but ultimately all our work leads to the CFO’s or CIO’s desk.
While we are happy to announce our new company name, we are equally pleased to roll out our new website, www.thealliancegroup.com. On this new site, you’ll see our mission statement prominently displayed, but you’ll also find a more robust description of our service offerings, and a significant number of video and written client testimonials. We hope you enjoy the site.
As we announce this rebrand, it is important to acknowledge the people who make it all happen – our amazing Alliance client service teams. Our recruiting and business development professionals, corporate staff, client advisory team, financial systems experts, the interim staffing professionals who serve our clients’ short-term project needs, and our leadership team. You ARE the Alliance family and have made this rebrand both possible and necessary.
